Pricing & credits

Understand pricing results, analysis charges, and your shared credit balance.

Understand the suggested price

Analyze returns a suggested listing price in USD minor units. Divide by 100 to display dollars: 3500 is $35.00. Comparable sale prices use the same representation.

The estimate is guidance for a listing, not a promise of a completed sale. Use the returned condition and confidence alongside your own knowledge of the item.

Read the pricing basis

  • sold_comps: accepted comparable sales were used in the estimate. The response includes only those accepted comparables.
  • engine: the pricing engine produced an estimate without accepted sold comparables. The response has confidence: "low" and sold_comps: [].

confidence is high, medium, or low. The source condition on a comparable retains marketplace wording and may differ from the normalized condition of your item.

What costs a credit

OutcomeAnalysis charge
Complete identification and pricing1 credit
Complete result using engine pricing1 credit
Replay of a completed analysis with the same idempotency key0 additional credits
Failed analysis without a complete resultNo analysis credit consumed

A credit is reserved while work is in progress, then consumed for a successful result or released for a nonbillable failure. A timeout or lost response does not tell you whether the analysis completed. Use idempotent retries to recover the result.

Your account balance

Your platform account has one balance shared by all its API keys and playground requests. Credits do not expire. The dashboard’s available balance reflects credits that can be used now; reserved credits are not available for another analysis.

When available credits are exhausted, a new analysis returns 402 insufficient_credits. Add credits in Billing before trying again.

Buy credits and enable top-up

Open Billing for current purchase options and prices. Manual purchases can save your payment method but do not automatically enable top-up.

Automatic top-up is optional. When enabled, it purchases your selected amount when available credits reach 25 or fewer. It requires a usable saved payment method. Enabling it while already at or below the threshold can trigger an immediate purchase.

Billing shows payment issues and recovery actions. A successful payment redirect does not itself confirm that credits are ready; wait for the platform to report that they have been applied.
